I have found them to be great even when I don’t believe the words I’m saying. I continue to say them aloud over and over again.

The lyrics have brought me peace and truth.

They speak about the God of the universe and His ability to relate to you personally. He is big but He becomes personal in these steps to get to know Him.

A few of the lines talk about how God sees us. One of the songs uses the word “priceless” to describe how God sees you- no one can fill your shoes, you are not a mistake, you are priceless to God.

However, most of the lines are talking about God and how he helps us in the moments when we are out of strength or ideas or hope.

He sometimes rushes in…or often lets His whisper become the most powerful thing to hear. I have seen these lyrics work best when I repeat them and slowly they soften my heart and turn my mind back to God.

Our will can turn us down a road we haven’t intended to go, but these words remind us to find Him and follow His way again, choosing His will and His strength and the hope He continually gives.

Use the lyrics to

-refocus on God

-remind yourself of truth

-battle the lies your head can tell you

-draw closer to God

-discover joy

Choose a box each week and let those words speak into you. If one box doesn’t resonate with you at the time, feel free to skip to a different one.

God does not force us to love Him. He lets us freely come to Him.

Let the words come to you and if they don’t make you feel how you thought that’s okay.

Let them be what they are for this season. You will connect with different songs through different seasons.

I pray these lyrics remind you that it’s okay to feel upset or happy or however you feel. May they drive you to a Father who wants to be Your comfort and friend.
